About The Program

The Fall CIO Congress brings together technology leaders from K-12 public school districts for two and a half days of insightful sessions, personalized meetings with solution providers, and meaningful networking opportunities. Centered around the theme “From Change to Impact: Leading with Vision and Purpose,” this year’s event will explore critical topics—from data privacy and cybersecurity to the ethical integration of AI in education. More than just a conference, the CIO Congress is a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, collaborative problem-solving, and building a strong, forward-thinking community of educational technology leaders.

Topics Of Discussion

Explore how strategic technology planning, coupled with strong leadership, can transform educational outcomes. This session equips administrators with frameworks to align technology initiatives with district goals, build leadership capacity, and foster a culture of innovation across schools.

Discover practical strategies for integrating AI tools in the classroom while ensuring ethical use, data privacy, and alignment with instructional goals. Learn how to guide educators and students through AI adoption responsibly, while addressing concerns about bias, transparency, and digital citizenship.

As cyber threats evolve, so must our defenses. This session provides a comprehensive look at the latest in school cybersecurity—including data protection, network integrity, and compliance with FERPA and other regulations. Gain insights into policies and protocols to create a secure digital environment for your community.

With ESSER funds winding down, administrators must rethink how to sustain impactful tech initiatives. This session explores budget optimization strategies, cost-effective procurement models, and creative funding approaches to maintain momentum in tech-driven learning.

Technology can bridge gaps—but only with intentional planning. This session dives into policies and practices that ensure all students, regardless of background or geography, have equitable access to digital tools, connectivity, and learning opportunities.

Transform raw data into meaningful action. Learn how to implement data governance frameworks that promote ethical use, ensure compliance, and drive instructional and operational decisions. Discover tools and protocols for creating a data-informed school culture.

Explore how cutting-edge technologies—like AI-driven surveillance, access control systems, and emergency communication platforms—are reshaping school safety. This session highlights how to integrate physical and digital security strategies for comprehensive risk management.

Tech tools evolve rapidly—educators need training that keeps pace. This session focuses on building responsive and sustainable PD models that prepare teachers and staff to effectively integrate emerging technologies into instruction and operations.

As screen time and digital tools become more central to learning, student mental health and wellness must remain a top priority. Learn how to implement tech solutions that support social-emotional learning, monitor digital well-being, and promote balance in student tech use.

An effective EdTech strategy goes beyond selecting tools—it requires system-wide integration. This session explores how to streamline platforms, ensure interoperability, and engage stakeholders to build an ecosystem where technology supports every learner’s journey.
