About The Program

The RTM 2024 West Education Congress is a flagship gathering of educational leaders dedicated to advancing K-12 education. From September 22nd to 24th, this congress brings together 75 Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Chiefs, and Director level leaders within general academics from across the nation for an enlightening exchange of insights and strategies.
Under the overarching theme ‘Bridging the Gap: Innovations, Inclusivity, and Sustainability in K-12 Education,’ our congress dives deep into the pivotal challenges and opportunities shaping the educational landscape today. We tackle critical issues such as the convergence of AI, K12 education, and technology, digital equity and inclusion, fostering student and staff wellbeing, and implementing effective recruitment and retention strategies for educators.
Join us as we explore actionable strategies and foster collaborative approaches to address these pressing issues. Together, we will navigate dilemmas, build consensus, and pursue clarity in our shared mission to ensure equitable, sustainable, and innovative education for all students. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow leaders, exchange best practices, and shape the future of K-12 education. We eagerly anticipate your participation in this transformative congress, where ideas converge, solutions emerge, and meaningful change unfolds.

Topics Of Discussion

In this groundbreaking keynote, we challenge the status quo of AI in public education. We’ll unveil a paradigm shift from technical AI applications to an adaptive, critically aligned approach that transforms how we teach and learn. Our vision moves beyond ‘co-intelligence’ with AI to foster a ‘collective intelligence’ model that strengthens human potential through systemic collaboration.

Drawing from real-world lessons, we’ll explore how to:

1. Innovate learning ecosystems with AI
2. Focus on measurable, impactful outcomes
3. Avoid pitfalls of ineffective AI integration

We’ll share Aurora Public Schools’ pioneering epistemology and strategic framework for AI integration, offering a blueprint for reimagining public education. This keynote isn’t just about AI in education—it’s about reshaping the future of teaching and learning.

In this presentation, Superintendent Dr. Tim Stowe and CTO Gil Mara explore the vital role of strategic communications in building strong connections with the educational community. Emphasizing clarity, consistency, and empathy with internal and external partners. They will share strategies for crafting impactful messages, utilizing digital platforms, and fostering open dialogue. Attendees will learn how to enhance community trust, highlight district achievements, and effectively address challenges. With real-world examples and practical insights, this session equips educational leaders with the tools to promote transparency and collaboration. By mastering the execution of strategic communications, leaders can create a culture that supports positive outcomes for students, families, and the entire community.

This roundtable will discus the challenges school districts face in hiring. Participants will walk away with new ideas, tools, and new ways of thinking about strategies for faculty retention. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to connect and learn from each other.

As we continue to rebound and implement lessons learned from the pandemic, the mental health of students and staff members has become top of mind for many districts. Join a lively discussion that will explore ways to address student learning and staff success through intentional efforts focused on the social-emotional health of both children and adults within the system.

As artificial intelligence platforms increase in number, specialization, and authenticity, educators need to have a game plan to proactively respond to the changing landscape of educational opportunities. This presentation will explore how to achieve effective AI policies and practices for K12 school districts that are rooted in collaboration, consensus, and clarity.
