About The Program

The Fall CIO Congress brings together technology leaders from K-12 public school districts for two and a half days of insightful content sessions, personalized meetings with solution providers, and valuable networking opportunities. Embracing the theme “Rise Up! Reimagine! Building Resilience and Innovation in a Continually Evolving Educational Landscape,” our discussions delve into critical topics, ranging from data privacy and security to preserving human connection in a technology-driven world. This event is a unique platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative problem-solving, fostering a vibrant community of educational technology leaders.

Topics Of Discussion

With hacking, scamming, and data breaches happening in school districts and the digital systems they use, now more than ever, teachers and administrators need to master Student Data Privacy.

Learn what it takes to create a Security and Privacy First culture to survive in the digital curriculum and blended-learning landscape!

Catawba County Schools’ three-year AI initiative, funded by the North Carolina Digital Learning Initiative Impact Grant, aims to revolutionize K-12 education by leveraging AI to enhance teaching practices, empower students and educators, and prepare a generation ready to thrive in an ever-changing world. By providing AI literacy training, developing innovative curricula, and creating custom AI instructional tools, we are transforming classrooms into dynamic learning environments. AI tools will handle routine tasks, allowing teachers to focus on personalized instruction, while students engage with AI-driven resources to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our emphasis on ethical use and community engagement bridges education and workforce demands.

Are you a school administrator or Tech leader feeling the pressure of tight budgets and misaligned goals? Join the session, “Reimagine, Restructure, Revolutionize: Optimizing Tech and Leadership,” and learn how to bridge the gap between school administration and Tech Leadership from someone who has experienced both sides. Discover strategies to streamline communication, improve collaboration, and maximize the impact of your technology investments. This session is your roadmap to a more efficient, cost-effective, and innovative learning environment.

The digital revolution has transformed education, creating a world where reliable internet access and technology are no longer luxuries, but necessities for student success. However, the persistent digital divide leaves many students on the wrong side of the equation, hindering their ability to learn, explore, and compete. Let’s explore ways that we can continue to work to bridge this gap and ensure equitable access to technology for all students.

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, K-12 schools require continuous updates and enhancements to their technology infrastructure to effectively support teaching and learning. This session will focus on practical insights and strategies for modernizing K-12 technology frameworks, ensuring they are resilient, scalable, and meet the demands of 21st-century education.

How often do you choose to be seen and smile? Do you know what being fully present looks like? How do you show empathy and understanding? Join this roundtable discussion to learn 3 simple, yet practical ways you can Preserve Human Connection in a Technology-Driven World.
